Inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship, our products are what we like to call Mindfully Made: Simple and timeless by design, ethically made from sustainable materials that are meant to last — all for honest, accessible pricing. From the very start, we’ve set five guidelines for ourselves, which we call the Mindful Principles. We think this way of thinking should be the natural, obvious way of creating products in our industry. Our name TŌZEN, meaning “self-evident” in Japanese, reflects that idea.

Our
Studio

While our production takes place in small-scale factories in Portugal, the design and prototyping of our products occur in The Netherlands. Our creative process unfolds within the walls of a fully renovated factory that once served as a leather-tannery facility.
